Overview
AFRIMOX-500 contains Amoxicillin 500 mg (as Amoxicillin Trihydrate BP), a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic. The 500 mg strength is commonly used for adult treatment courses. Capsules are supplied in blister strips, 10 x 10 per carton.
Indications
Amoxicillin is commonly prescribed for:
- Respiratory tract infections, including bronchitis and pneumonia
- Ear, nose and throat infections such as otitis media and tonsillitis
- Urinary tract infections
- Skin and dental infections
- As part of H. pylori eradication regimens
