Overview
Each capsule contains Ampicillin BP 250 mg and Cloxacillin 250 mg (as Cloxacillin Sodium BP), a 500 mg combination that pairs the broad Gram-positive and Gram-negative cover of Ampicillin with the penicillinase resistance of Cloxacillin. The combination is a long-standing first-line choice where staphylococcal involvement is suspected. Capsules are packed 10 x 10 in blister strips, and cartons can be printed under your own brand.
Indications
Ampicillin with Cloxacillin is commonly prescribed for:
- Respiratory tract infections, including bronchitis and pneumonia
- Skin and soft tissue infections such as cellulitis, boils and abscesses
- Ear, nose and throat infections
