Overview
AFRI-METHER 4/4 is an antimalarial tablet that combines Artemether 20 mg and Lumefantrine 120 mg. It is an artemisinin-based combination therapy (ACT): Artemether acts quickly to clear malaria parasites, while Lumefantrine stays in the body longer to clear any that remain. Each carton holds a full 24-tablet course and is labelled in English and French.
Indications
Artemether–Lumefantrine is widely used for:
- Treatment of acute, uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum malaria
- Mixed infections that include P. falciparum
Use only under the guidance of a registered medical practitioner.
