Overview
AFRICLAV 1.2 g is an injectable form of co-amoxiclav (amoxicillin with clavulanic acid) supplied as a ready-to-use combipack. Each pack contains a 1.2 g vial of sterile powder and a 10 ml ampoule of Sterile Water for Injections BP for reconstitution. It is intended for intravenous use in hospitals and clinics.
Indications
Intravenous co-amoxiclav is commonly used for more serious bacterial infections, including:
- Severe respiratory tract infections, including pneumonia
- Complicated urinary tract infections
- Intra-abdominal infections
- Skin, soft tissue, bone and joint infections
- Prevention of infection in surgery
