AFROXIME 500 contains Cefuroxime 500 mg (as Cefuroxime Axetil USP), a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic with activity against many common respiratory and urinary pathogens. Tablets are packed in Alu-Alu blisters, and the carton is labelled in English and French.
Indications
Cefuroxime Axetil is commonly prescribed for:
- Sinusitis, tonsillitis and pharyngitis
- Acute bronchitis and community-acquired pneumonia
- Middle ear infections (otitis media)
- Urinary tract infections
- Skin and soft tissue infections
