Overview
CIPROCURE-TZ combines Ciprofloxacin 500 mg, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic, with Tinidazole 600 mg, a nitroimidazole active against protozoa and anaerobic bacteria. Together they cover the mixed aerobic and anaerobic organisms behind many gastrointestinal and pelvic infections, so a single tablet replaces two separate therapies. Tablets are supplied in blister strips of 10 in a bilingual English / French carton.
Indications
Ciprofloxacin with Tinidazole is commonly prescribed for:
- Mixed bacterial and protozoal diarrhoea and dysentery
- Amoebiasis and giardiasis with secondary bacterial infection
- Intra-abdominal and pelvic inflammatory infections
- Post-operative and dental infections involving anaerobes
